Over the past few years, the Indiana EMS Association has been working diligently to bring about changes that will positively impact the ambulance provider community. Some of the latest IEMSA's accomplishments include:

  • Working to help obtain a two year certification periods for EMT's and Paramedics so that Indiana would be consistent with National Registry standards.
  • Tackling the issues of scope of practice and quarterly registry testing.
  • Teaming up with the Kentucky Ambulance Providor Association to conduct several joint meetings with HCFA and AdminaStar officials on reimbursement issues.
  • Sponsoring seminars on topics such as reimbursement, documentation, and compliance issues.

Over the next few years, the voice of the Indiana EMS Association will become more important than ever as new regulations begin to effect Indiana EMS. HCFA reimbursement, HIPPA regulations, and legislative rulings are just some the items that the IEMSA are watching closely within the future months.

With your support the IEMSA can provide a unified voice for the promotion and advancement of quality patient care and EMS in Indiana. Thank you for Supporting the Indiana EMS Association.
